SOS PRESIDENT MR.KUTIN VISIT SOS HERMANN GMEINER SCHOOL MOMBASA ON JUNE THE 17TH -18^TH 2011AT THE SAME TIME THE 60KW SOLAR PLANT LAUNch

The Saturday of 18^th June 2011 was a beehive kind of activities at SOS Village Kenya Mombasa when the SOS president Mr. Helmut Kutin visited the facility in his Trans –African tour of allSOS facilities in Africa.

The president arrived on Friday 17^th where he was received by the Mombasa Fraternity and the following day he officially launched a solar power supply station donated by DANONE Company. The solar power supply plant, one of its own is likely to produce an average of 60kw per day whereby the SOS Mombasa facilities on an average consume 40% of the supply and the surplus will be channelled to the National Grid.

The chief quest during the occasion was Engineer Njoroge, the managing director of KPLC. In his speech he praised the work done by the SOS organization in its efforts to provide conducive homes to Orphan children.

He congratulated DANONE Company to have donated funds to the realization of the project which is estimated to have cost KSH.25millions.He reiterated that the SOS solar power plant was the only one providing electricity to the National grid. He promised that he is going to work with others stakeholders to see how the SOS organization will benefit from the undertaking.

The guests during the occasion included the area Mp.Hassan Joh,.the kisauni Dc and the entire SOS organization top management led by the chairman to the board Mr.Martin Oduor
